Dementia Clinical Lead Nurse

I am seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to join a lovely Nursing Home as their inspirational Dementia Clinical Lead Nurse. This is full-time role, 40hrs, working a variety of shifts incl. some weekends, night visits and 'on call' duties shared with the management team. For outstanding candidates with experience and innovation, they are offering a competitive salary of up to £50,000 p/a. The Person

You must hold a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered General Nurse or Mental Health Nurse with a relevant postgraduate clinical qualification in leadership or dementia care. You will have a positive, flexible attitude and will have a proven person centred ethos, exhibiting empathy and a desire to make a difference. Strong leadership and management qualities are essential with previous experience in dementia care and in home management being essential.

As the Dementia Lead, you will have responsibility for assisting in the management of the Home as a service, a business and as a team. You will take the lead in overseeing the Dementia needs of the residents, consistently providing the highest standard of dementia and clinical care, whilst promoting their independence, choice and liberty. You would be expected to take responsibility for care planning, drug administration and consistently meeting our own high standards and those of our external regulators. You'd also supervise the appraisal and development of our Senior Care Leads, Health-care Assistants, student Nurses and other care staff. Respecting confidentiality, you will have regular, sensitive contact with resident's families and friends as well as with other health professionals.

The Nursing Home belongs to an established family-run healthcare service, who has been providing specialised care to older people and those living with a diagnosis of Dementia or Alzheimer's. They are a supportive company, as they offer their staff tailored training and development to further their career within the organisation.

The Nursing home is in Lymington and is registered for up to 56 residents. It has been specifically designed and dedicated to supporting the needs of older adults, in particular those living with a diagnosis of Dementia or Alzheimer's. They also provide palliative care, respite care, day care and convalescent care.
