Your new organisation are a leading global business with in excess of 10,000 sku's
and annual turnover in excess of $10B.
Your new role will design, develop and implement an EMEA wide demand planning function from what is currently an immature and fragmented operation. Your role will take the lead on delivering a total demand planning function across EMEA and will become the standardised approach to Demand Planning for all global sales functions i.e. your EMEA function will be scaled-up across APAC this year with Americas and other global regions to follow in subsequent years.
You will take the role of Corporate Demand Planning Process Lead to implement an already selected forecasting system. You will take lead on developing it's workflow, functionality, procedures, processes and other applications/approvals processes and have it implemented into the business.
You will create product platforms, product groups and other data segmentations within the forecasting system.
You will take lead on creating all documentation and training manuals relating to the newly implemented forecasting system and for up-skilling all relevant users and departments throughout the EMEA region.
Along with your role of delivering a Demand Planning function and all it's operations, procedures and uptake through the business, you will also undertake the day to day tasks of Demand Planning.
You will be responsible for analysing large volume data sets and undertaking statistical modelling to create a regional demand plan for a product portfolio that has 10's of thousands of SKU's. This will drive an efficient and accurate Demand Plan and will dictate the pace of your global based manufacturing facilities and purchasing from 3rd party product suppliers.
To be successful in this role you must have experience across 2 key areas
1) Delivering the day to day responsibilities of demand planning within a large, complex & multi-country environment.
You will have experience of scrutinising sales forecasts that come in from EMEA country leads and then accurately converting these leads into a final regional customer sales forecast that will be released to the Supply Planning team.
You must have relative experience of scalability in terms of SKU numbers and the experience required to manage such a high volume of SKU's e.g. this role will manage 10's of thousands of SKU's.
You will clearly display the required stakeholder skills necessary to gain engagement from departments from across the business that will enable you to successfully receive accurate data that will allow accurate forecasting.
You will demonstrate relevant Demand Planning experience in a large, complex, high SKU volume and multi-regional business environment.
2) You will clearly display previous experience of implementing new and large scale systems, processes, procedures and governances into a large and complex business environment.
You will be experienced in delivering business change management, project management / delivery and in gaining commitment from business user groups and stakeholders to adopt change and new processes.
You will be experienced in designing and developing a new demand planning operation from a greenfield environment and for the creation and management of all processes/procedures and governances surrounding this.
