Demand Planner | Derby | £24,000 - £26,000
Macildowie have been engaged by a manufacturing business in Derby to recruit for a Demand Planner. This is an exciting position with a growing business who are looking for an experienced planner to help ensure that the business maintains cost-effective management of stock whilst ensuring an adequate supply of material for production.
All necessary steps are taken to manage availability of products effectively and that OTIF targets are met.
Purchase orders are placed within necessary lead times to ensure material availability.
Material requirements are forecast / managed as appropriate to demand pattern
Distribution orders placed on manufacturing in good time to ensure availability to condition and meet Customer OTIF targets
Quality issues are managed appropriately either directly with suppliers, internal/external customers or via Purchasing
processes and external Customer sub-processes are followed correctly.
Stock levels of inventory are fully managed and optimized, materials are managed in / out of the businesses observing appropriate financial targets and processes, along with seasonality.
SAP/EPS systems are correctly maintained with appropriate planning & stock parameters by material including van stock management.
Co-operation in all Spares Centre operations are coordinated where necessary with the activities and requirements of other departments in the UK.
KPI's and measures are correctly maintained, used, understood and delivered on time.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a demand planning/forecasting role.
Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
