Demand Planner

We are working with a leading ingredients client who is looking for an experienced demand planner to help work with internal functions to help deliver accurate forecasting. This role would suit a highly analytical candidate with excellent attention to detail and a passion for numbers.

Key duties may involve:

Working with Commercial, Marketing and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecast

Managing the forecast process liaising with the commercial team to improve forecast accurate

Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.

Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool

Prepare and attend sales & marketing monthly review, part of the Integrated Business Planning Process

Liaise with planners and expeditors regarding changes in the forecast

Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.

To Provide input to the Supply Planning organisation in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.

To coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning

Key skills the Successful candidate will process:

Highly organised

The ability to present data to a variety of audiences

Team player with excellent communication skills both face to face and telephone

highly analytical skills with high standards of accuracy

Strong knowledge of Microsoft package

Experience of forecasting statistics

Previous knowledge of ERP processes
