The company is one of the top security and defence companies in the UK. Following a series of significant contract awards through 2017, the company faces a period of significant growth within weapons systems.
Their central London team is looking for talented and enthusiastic analysts to perform weapon system assessments for our UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) customer.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team and embedded within the MOD, you will be responsible for the technical analysis and assessment of various weapon systems, as well as the production and delivery of associated reports, models, and presentations to our MOD customer, their customers, and wider audiences.
Location: Whitehall, London
Salary: £34,000 - £44,000 + 12.5% Central London Uplift
Skills: Graduate, STEM subject, Numerical, Analytical, Systems or Software Engineering.
The role will suit either recent graduates or those with relevant industry experience of Systems or Software Engineering who wish to apply their abilities in a technical analysis and systems assessment environment.
A degree in a STEM subject and strong numerical and analytical ability is required, and a postgraduate qualification would be advantageous. Candidates should have experience, aptitude or appreciation in some of the following areas:
- Aerospace technologies, such as aerodynamics, propulsion or guidance & control;
- Weapon systems sensors, such as passive / active RF or EO / IR seekers;
- Mathematical techniques;
- Dynamic systems modelling;
- Software Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) and/or modern programming languages.
You should have a proactive approach to your work and be able to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders at various levels of seniority.
