Job Description

Role Reports to: Transport Shift Manager

The role will be fully accountable for all aspects of the job description below. As Transport De-Brief clerk you will report directly into the Transport shift Manager on a daily / weekly basis.

The purpose of the role is to ensure the efficient running of the De-Brief desk and all aspects filing and reporting.

Key Deliverables in role:

  • Ensure Drivers digital tachograph cards are downloaded at the end of each shift
  • Ensure all defects are filled in numerical order and completed at the end of each shift
  • Gather information with regards to driver delays and reasons for late deliveries
  • Ensure all driver paperwork is filled in numerical order
  • Ensure In-direct hours are completed fully and logged
  • Write driver defects as they are presented
  • Learn dispatch desk and cover holidays / absence as required

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment
  • Computer Literate
  • Good organisational and communications skills
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Behaviours Required
  • Be reliable, self-motivated and work accurately with excellent attention to detail
  • Be a strong team player with the ability to inspire confidence and credibility
  • Good level of attendance / Absence record essential
  • Work under pressure and lead by example
  • Be flexible in approach to your shifts and cover each other in times of absence / holidays
  • Qualifications Desired but not essential
  • Experience on Microlise
