Be part of a one of a kind service, supporting adults in Hampshire to live well.Nightingale Living Well Community Hub is a new and unique 'one stop shop'. We offer a range of support and opportunities for older adults and their unpaid carers who are in need of care and support. Nightingale Living Well Community Hub is part of the new Nightingale Lodge Extra Care Scheme, named after the much-loved local icon Florence Nightingale, which is located in the popular market town of Romsey. With local bus stops in reach, there is easy access to the town centre.The service will represent an evolution of "traditional" day-service provision, delivering the Council's emerging vision for a "Living Well" service for Older Adults, including those experiencing dementia or cognitive impairment.Flexible support services are available between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday, and include individual sessions, half and full days.To support this new development we are looking to build a brand new team of Day Opportunities Facilitators (Support Workers) who share our values and commitment to enabling people to live a full and active life.You may have had experience of working in a social care environment including Day Services but if not, don't worry, as your values are important to us too. So if you are patient, caring, empathetic, enthusiastic, driven and have skills and experiences that would enhance the way people spend time with us then we would want to hear from you.Hampshire County Council have a comprehensive induction programme that will provide you with all the training you need. You may hold an NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care or be prepared to achieve that. Continuous development and a variety of progression opportunities are offered alongside a generous benefits package.
