Day and Night Senior Care Assistants needed at Holmers House, High Wycombe.

Salary: £8.83 per hour

Enhancements are paid at 10% of basic hourly rate for any night hours worked.

Hours of work: Full time and part time hours available

Holmers House has been through a challenging 2017, moving forward for 2018 an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Care Assistant to join our home. Holmers House, located in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. We are looking for kind, motivated individuals who want to make a positive difference to the Home and the lives of our residents. We require senior carers that can work with and develop an ambitious growth plan.

As a Senior Care Assistant you will ensure that services are provided that respect the choice, dignity and rights of individuals. . You will work as part of a team, providing physical, emotional, spiritual and social support to service users within the scheme to encourage them to achieve maximum independence where possible. We invest heavily in your training, promote a strong teamwork ethic and make sure that you have the support and resources you need to reach your potential.

With a flexible approach to work and responsibilities, you will ideally hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent in health and Social Care. You will need to play a positive role in ensuring that communications are good between staff and residents.

Experience with a supervisory role within a health care setting would be an advantage.

Duties involved will include updating/writing care plans and risk assessments, supervising staff, supporting the Care Team Leader on shift and administering medication.

Holmers House is a purpose built care home and has specially designed accommodation for older people living with dementia. It has 48 en-suite rooms, divided between its three self-contained units, each of which has their own living room and dining room. All three units have access to the home’s wheelchair accessible, landscaped gardens. Residents are supported by the staff to live as independently as their health conditions will allow and care is personalised to meet each person’s level of need. Our staff team have built a warm and welcoming environment for residents and have all been trained to support people with varying levels of need.
