Database Administrator - Newport - Up to £29,000 + Benefits
A marketing leading organisation are looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join their diverse team located at their cutting-edge campus located in Newport. You will be joining an already successful team, which offers long term progression and an enviable career path.
As the Database Administrator, you’ll be responsible for designing, creating and improving infrastructure and database services, products and platforms. You will provide support for these services through managing incidents, requests, changes and problems, whilst driving continuous improvement activities.
You will maximise the use of tools and technologies to deliver operational excellence, as well as participation in wider communities of practice to identify adoptable best practices. The Database Administrator will be expected to share your knowledge of tools and techniques, collaborating with the team to improve the overall capability.
The suitable candidate will be expected to have a skill set including:
- Experience of SQL Server, Oracle or MongoDB
- Day to day BAU and database troubleshooting
- Involvement in upgrades, performance monitoring and configuration
- Participating in a large collaborative team across two sites
Any experience with Linux or infrastructure support is highly advantageous, but not mandatory.
