This challenging SQL DBA role will include tasks focused on security, integrity, operational support and performance of all database systems But in addition the SQL Database Administrator will play a key role in ensuring that the current database systems are capable of meeting current and future requirements. This will be working across the Business and technology functions representing the database systems team.
The SQL DBA - Database Administrator will have the following experience:
- Commercial experience gained within a fast paced commercial Organisation
- Experience of SQL Server design and administration / proven SQL DBA skills
- Experience of SQL database administration within an ITIL environment
Knowledge of other database systems and / or a willingness to learn and manage the same would be a significant advantage. A basic knowledge of Progress OpenEdge would be ideal.
The successful SQL DBA will be offered a starting salary of between £40,000 - £45,000 with the the opportunity to progress financially and benefit from training a development opportunities.
Although commercial experience is important a willingness to learn and a can do attitude are essential as the Company are keen to employ an individual who they can progress and develop.
