Data Tables Project Manager

What is the purpose of this role?

We are currently seeking a hands-on project coordinator, on a 6 month contract basis to enable Ofwat to carry out an assessment of water & sewerage company business plans they require completion and submission of 100 data tables plus 10 for Thames Tideway Tunnel covering circa. 3,000 data lines.

You will effectively manage and track specific activities across our work-streams in relation to the PR19 (price review 2019) programme. Completion of these data tables requires information and support from across the business and this role will ensure accountabilities, responsibilities, coordination, completion, assurance and timely submission of the tables.

What will this role involve?

Project manage and maintain overall coordination and control of method statements and data tables.

Have responsibility for the Appointee set of data tables.

Manage relationships with data table reviewers, accountable and responsible managers.

Manage operational relationships with all assurance providers (e.g. 2nd line external technical assurance, 3rd line internal audit assurance etc.).

Manage operational relationships with all technical coordinators within the Retail and Wholesale business units.

Ensure that preparation, assurance, review, sign-off and submission happens on time and to quality.

Understand dependencies between data tables/data lines and timelines between each element;
Provide weekly reporting on preparation, assurance, sign-off and completion of data tables against baseline plan.

Supports the Group Finance Assurance Manager with designing and reporting on progress and outcomes to Group Financial Controller, Executive Committee and Audit, Risk & Reporting Committee.

We are seeking an individual who is used to working flexibly and juggling a number of priorities. Your experience working in projects will demonstrate your ability to liaise at all levels and influence beyond span of control and to understand customer expectations, business procedures & processes.

Working in a utilities or regulatory background would be advantageous but not essential.

Salary details

This 6-month contract role is based in our Reading head office, with a salary of up to £42,000 pro rata.
