This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist to join one of the leading FMCG organisations. You will work alongside the Consumer Marketing and Media teams to deliver data-based analytical insights to the organisations brands and categories.

As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for;

  • Leading data and analytics initiatives on behalf of marketing business teams in areas such as Consumer Marketing Insights and Media.
  • Defining, constructing and executing reporting and analysis requests in respect of marketing initiatives, identifying and selecting internal/external traditional and digital marketing data sources to fulfil them.
  • Consulting with business teams regarding their requests on data discovery, reporting and analytics in order to define projects and support end-user requirements.
  • Model and statistical techniques to provide ongoing recommendations for data driven business decisions.
  • Communicate analytical results, insights and recommendations in most effective way to the business.
  • Communicate with and, when required, provide oversights to data and analytics suppliers when necessary to deliver accurate and timely services to the business.
  • Champion the use of analytical tools within the organisation, showcasing the value of integrating multiple data sources ultimately to educate internal business analysts on making the most efficient use of the capabilities available.
  • Work together with IT & Business teams to standardise processes and operationalise solutions regarding the use of data and analytics.
  • Engage with IT team on data industrialisation activities, to ensure key data sources are brought in the organisation environment and made available through the appropriate tools to the business teams.
  • Have a deep understanding of data technology in the perplexing landscape of digital marketing; where the data is stored, how it flows and how it can be accessed and analysed


Essential Experience / Skills

  • BA/ BSc Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or similar discipline
  • In-depth experience of quantitative and qualitative statistical analysis, including collecting, analysing, interpreting data and generating insights/ recommendations.
  • Experience of digital marketing technology landscape, especially around data flows and tracking methodologies.
  • Experience in coding in a language suitable for data mining, preferably Python or R.
  • Exposure to unstructured data and methodologies for analysing it in a meaningful way.
  • Confident use of and ability to communicate to others about complex data in a way that is easily understood and inspire confidence in business stakeholders and senior management.
  • Core understanding of digital data and analytics
  • Experience in working with marketing teams, understanding their key objectives with a view on the use of analytics can help drive the right decisions.
