If you are passionate about the energy sector, then this will be a very exciting opportunity to be part of one of the fastest growing companies in the energy sector in the Netherlands. You will come in as the 7th Data Scientist.

THE COMPANY

As the company is growing so fast, there is a very quick way to grow in the business as well! The team consists of Data Scientist, Data Analysts and Data Engineers. You will be working with cross-functional teams in creating bespoke products and services for the fast-growing demand.

THE ROLE

As a Data Scientist you will:

  • Lead projects focusing on the development of data driven services
  • Use a variety of datasets to test hypotheses
  • Develop new trading models utilized by the company's traders, analysts, meteorologists and researchers.
  • Optimize the performance of the algorithms and models
  • Design, develop, and test analytic models
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on the trading floor
  • Develop new strategies to improve business results

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master's Degree or PhD in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or Artificial Intelligence
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical thinker
  • Experience with machine learning
  • Experience in the energy sector
  • Extensive experience with Python, R/Shiny
  • Learning attitude
