Reporting to the Head of Data Science Projects, this role is responsible for supporting the delivery of predictive models for a variety of personalisation and optimisation use cases. The successful candidate will have academic experience in maths or statistics, and experience working with large databases using SQL, and a passion for research. They will actively contribute to developing and improving our approach to data science. Agile, collaborative and a team player; the role will work closely with multiple business functions and proactively seek areas for improvement.
Data preparation for modelling work: complex data extraction with efficient use of SQL; deep analysis of correlations inter-dependence, significance etc.
Data validation. Ensuring any work is built upon correct data
Ensuring that comprehensive & clear documentation is maintained
Recommending and communicating the modelling approaches applicable for business problems
Building & maintaining predictive models
Skills and Experience:
Honours Degree qualification in a quantitative field e.g. Math, Stat, Physics, Actuary, Economics (ideally MSc or PhD)
Hands on experience with SQL
Strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate statistical results and learnings clearly & succinctly
Excellent organisational & time management skills
Experience with predictive modelling in R or Python
Knowledge of Sports betting, Exchange, Gaming or Social gaming businesses
