Due to a period of significant growth, we have an exciting new vacancy for a Data Reconciliation Analyst to join us on a 13 Month Fixed Term Contract. You’ll be based in our vibrant modern office within Manchester city centre and we require an enthusiastic individual to become an integral part of our team.

Overall purpose

The core responsibilities of the Data Reconciliation Analyst will be the reconciliation, data validation and maintenance of account data. This will be carried out in conjunction with AGUK’s data suppliers and processors.
They will be accountable for the quality of the data in the supplier network as compared to AGUK’s core business. They will work closely with the Data Governance department to understand quality reporting, the partner managers and data operations to facilitate reconciliation and make changes.

Expertise

The candidate will be degree educated in either a maths or computing based subject, and will have demonstrable experience in a similar analytical role. Any experience within the financial services, legal, or debt management environments would be highly desirable, but not mandatory.

Core T-SQL querying skills, SQL 2008: Desirable
Knowledge of financial principles/ balance reconciliation: Essential
Good communication skills (verbal and written): Essential
Numeracy, analytical and problem solving skills: Essential
Educated to degree standard: Essential
The candidate will have access to our SQL and operational systems, and will require knowledge of specialist programming language (SQL)
The candidate will be diligent in investigating data issues, tenacious in resolving issues with a precise nature.

Complexity

This role will deal with complex financial and personal data across numerous external organisations, and internal data sources. They will have to be able to compare and contrast data, create their own routines for interrogation and making adjustments.
Many problems will be unique and require personal initiative to investigate and solve.
There is no strategic or tactical business decisions to make

Impact

The Candidate assists with the delivery of the customer experience, ensuring the customers are being chased for the correct amounts, communicated to at the right address with the correct information across the organisation.
This will contribute to our internal Data Quality objectives, operational excellence and processes.

Influence

The candidate will interact with operational departments, both internal and external, to identify and solve problems.

There will be no requirement to manage any relationships, but they will have to exchange information to others within the organisation.
