Data Protection GDPR Officer
Your new company
We are working with a Government charity set up in 2017 to recruit a Data Protection Expert with proven project management experience to help lead the organisation towards GDPR compliance on a Fixed Term basis for 12 months. You will deliver a 12 month project to assess and overhaul policies and procedures, train staff and deliver a programme of change.
Your new role
You will ultimately be tasked with leading the group towards GDPR compliance, reporting directly into the Head of IT to create and deliver a project plan to lead the department towards GDPR compliance.
You will conduct a through internal audit of all current data storage within the group, including the full life-cycle of collection and identifying any future requirements that the group may have for processing data.
You will review and update all data protection policies, procedures and 3rd party processing arrangements, including documenting and updating new policies
You will be expected to train staff across the group in the use of the new and compliant data protection practices
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrable experience of data protection
- Ideally you will have a Data Protection Certification (EU / GDPR/P, CIPP/E)
- Project Management
- Defining new policies, procedures and working practices
- Experience in influencing organisational change, advising and training staff
