Data Migration Manager

Management role responsible for the development and approval of the Finance ERP Project data migration strategy, approach and delivery plans

Engagement with internal and external stakeholders to secure commitment to the strategy and approach and ensure business & statutory requirements are met

Accountable for the co-ordination and delivery of all legacy data extraction, cleansing and load activities throughout the project lifecycle, from development of the strategy through to implementation.

Lead a working group to define the requirements for the Finance chart of accounts structure and values, including mapping of existing chart of accounts into the new chart.

Minimum requirements (essential)
• Demonstrable experience of successfully designing and implementing ERP System data extract, data migration, data transformation, data quality and modelling, testing and post production reviews, using automated and manual methods.
• Qualified accountant or part qualified studying towards full qualification.
• Demonstrable experience of mapping source and target data, identify gaps and data cleansing
• An in-depth knowledge of general accounting and comprehensive experience of chart of accounts definition.
• A breadth of experience across a range of Oracle Financial modules e.g. General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable and / or Purchasing (Minimum version 11.5.10).
• Exceptional stakeholder management and engagement skills across business and technical areas
• Ability to articulate technical concepts to business/functional stakeholders
• Strong collaboration skills working across team, colleagues at all levels within the BL and external providers to reach appropriate solutions identifying issues and problems and resolving them regardless of hierarchy.
• Displays a probing approach whilst encouraging full and open exchange of ideas and options in search of solutions.
• Demonstrable experience of using and deploying ETL tools and techniques
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to multi task and be adaptable from moment to moment to cope with shifting priorities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to provide written documentation to a professional standard
• Drive and resilience to overcome barriers and deliver results.
• Excellent experience of using MS Office tools, including Excel and Project.
• Have an enquiring mind and an impeccable eye for detail.
• Effective at planning and managing own workload and ability to split time between reactive tasks and planned project work.

• Experience in SQL databases and SQL query writing.
• PRINCE 2/ AGILE project management experience.
• Functional experience using Oracle R12 across multiple modules.
• Experience of multi-Org structures.
• Familiarity of various data types.
