Experience within a similar role within the insurance industry is essential.
A permanent position to join the IT department of a specialist Lloyds Broker, Coverholder TPA & Underwriting Agency based in the City of London.
The initial focus of this role will be to contribute towards the transition from excel based reporting to a web-based data warehouse solution whilst maintaining the smooth running of the statistics area.
This varied role is based in the IT department and will involve the development of new database reports plus assisting the production and checking of existing reports. The role involves the supply of statistical data including premiums, claims, loss ratios and aggregate exposures.
1.Developing new reports and dashboards to run from the company's internal and external websites and the main broking system, Global.
2.Assisting in the timely and accurate compilation of monthly regular reports for internal and external stake holders, optimising reports where possible.
3.Work alongside the Development Team to extend the data warehouse for future reporting needs.
4.Liaising with the Broking and Underwriting teams to ensure reporting needs are met.
5.You will be required to support the teams by providing useful insight and analysis on an ad-hoc basis.
Skills and experience
·Degree with numerical/computing components or graduate calibre with strong experience.
·Insurance industry experience
·Strong Microsoft Excel skills
·Working knowledge of T-SQL
·Microsoft Reporting Services skills desirable
·Tableau experience desirable ( or another BI tool such as QlikView, Domo, Pentaho, or Microsoft Power BI)
·Good attention to detail
·Good interpersonal and communication skills in order to share finding with colleagues
