The Insight and analytics team seeks to add value to our clients through delivering actionable insight, enabling data driven decisions and developing analytic products/partnerships. Deliverables are closely aligned to the pillars of the firm strategy, trust and integrity in markets, sustainable growth in dynamic organisations and places where people and businesses can flourish, as well as our service lines.

The purpose of this role is to provide data analysis, data management and support, for the variety of platforms that are either already available, such as Place Analytics and CFOi, or also future platforms in development. This will include sourcing, cleaning, processing, uploading and the visualisation of a large variety of socio-economic datasets to help maintain the currency and relevance of the data and analytical tools contained within the online platforms.

Using both technical and analytical skills, the role will be responsible for overseeing the data life cycle and maintaining data integrity of our client facing platforms. This will feed into development activity and designing products, which are intuitive, and visually appealing to the end user.

What you’ll be doing:

  • sources, maintains and updates economic, social and environmental indicators to ensure data and metadata content is up to date

  • proactively identifying and assessing new datasets that will add value to our data offering

  • take ownership for the data processes and procedures within the team

  • provide technical support to the wider analyst team with content reviews to ensure data integrity

  • deliver consultancy work to a high standard and identifies and flags key issues early to discuss with manager

  • provide excellent client service that exceeds expectations

  • support partners, directors and managers with business development

  • ensure compliance with key systems and processes including timely completion of timesheets and all mandatory training

Who we're looking for:

  • experience in analysing large data sets

  • brings an analytical and problem solviing mind set to tasks
  • able to present (written and oral) complex data and analysis in a way that is easy to understand and digest

  • able to take the lead and drive forward projects and work streams

  • excellent communication skills and able to manage relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders

  • familiarity with SQL/MS Access or similar database management systems, or a willingness to learn
