Data Analyst & Governance Officer - Reigate
£29,020 per annum for 36 hours per week based at Surrey Fire & Rescue Headquarters, Croydon Road, Reigate, RH2 0EJ.
This is a 2 year fixed term contract.

About the Role
We currently have a full time position available for a Data Analyst and Governance Officer based within our Intelligence Unit at Surrey Fire & Rescue, Headquarters, Reigate.
We are looking for someone to:
- Support the production and development of incident, risk, activity, and other information for the Surrey Fire & Rescue Service, through the collation and analysis of meaningful data.
- Ensure that the data governance framework’s policies/processes are maintained, executed and complied with and, where appropriate, challenge their adequacy and update accordingly.
- Be the conduit between the Service and County Council colleagues to offer assurances on our compliance.
You will need to have knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of data systems and approaches related to data protection. You will need a thorough working knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation.
You will have a flexible, mature approach, will be well organised and able to work under pressure, on occasions, to tight deadlines. You will have a methodical approach to information gathering, recording and reporting.
You will also have good customer service and excellent IT skills - all short listed applicants will be required to complete an IT skills test as part of the interview process. You will have previous experience of working in an office environment and have the ability to work as part of a team within existing working protocols and procedures whilst being proactive and using your initiative within the scope of the job role.
You will be educated to A-level or equivalent, or able to evidence ability at an equivalent level.
