Data Analyst (FMCG - Food) up to £18-22K plus benefits

A fantastic opportunity has opened for an ambitious individual to join a fast-growing team at a leading wholesale business specialising in FMCG. This permanent, office based role is a great opportunity for someone to join a forward-thinking company and interact with different departments within the business including Sales, Finance, IT, Marketing, Operations to provide accurate information and support for the development of the business

Key qualities needed;

  • Superb organisational skills often working on multiple tasks and to strict deadlines
  • Highly skilled in using Microsoft programmes, especially Excel
  • Ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ensure the integrity of the data is accurate and up to date, incl. pack sizes, barcodes, weights etc
  • Collection of promotional data from supplier systems to be converted to offers for customers
  • Notifying sales teams of pricing during promotional windows
  • Monitor the availability and value of stock as the market fluctuates
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks as necessary to meet the business needs and for your own personal development
  • experience of sales processes, margins, pricing etc
  • Build and maintain in-depth pricing analysis reports
  • Ensuring the business procure at the right price and maintaining the integrity of the system data
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of competitors’ business models and tactics, as well as best practices and process automation
  • A confident and professional telephone manner
