A City based Lloyd's Broker seeks a person ideally degree educated with numerical/computing components or graduate calibre with Data Analyst Insurance industry experience, who has strong Microsoft Excel skills with knowledge of SQL to contribute towards the transition from excel based reporting to a web-based data warehouse solution whilst maintaining the smooth running of the statistics area.
This varied role is based in the IT department and will involve the development of new database reports plus assisting the production and checking of existing reports. The role involves the supply of statistical data including premiums, claims, loss ratios and aggregate exposures.
Assistant Data Analyst main responsibilities:
The role is a Data Analyst/BI role, assisting with developing new reports and dashboards to run from the company's internal and external websites and the main broking system. Assisting in the timely and accurate compilation of monthly regular reports for internal and external stake holders, optimising reports where possible. Work alongside the Development Team to extend the data warehouse for future reporting needs. Liaising with the Broking and Underwriting teams to ensure reporting needs are met. You will be required to support the teams by providing useful insight and analysis on an ad-hoc basis.
