Cyber Security Technologist Apprentice Level 4

Key Activities:

As Cyber Security Technologist Apprentice you will support your team in the following:

  • Cyber and Open Source Intelligence
  • Networking Fundamentals
  • Security Fundamentals
  • Introduction to Cyber Security
  • A Practical Introduction to Cryptography
  • Employing Cryptography
  • Security Architecture
  • Building a Security Case, and
  • Security Technology Building Blocks

To be successful:

  • Have a natural flair for logically and creatively solving problems
  • Are passionate about technology
  • Are able to work independently and in cooperation with others, take responsibility and use your initiative;
  • Enjoy identifying and preventing issues before they occur
  • Can articulate complex issues clearly to a wide range of people
  • Want to make a real difference in the work you do

To be eligible you need to have:

  • You will have at least five GCSEs (grades 9-4 with English and Maths at grade 5 being two of those subjects) or alternatively, you can be a holder of a Level 3 qualification, which can include A-levels, NVQ, BTEC or other relevant experience
  • willing to learn about our industry and contribution to the country
  • ready for this training role and to develop both your technical and teamwork competence and skills
  • Learners must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject
