Customs Compliance Manager

Job Description
- To ensure highest compliance levels for all Customs & government Agency Controls and requirements
- Ensure that Company Controls, Policies, Procedures, processes, applications are understood and implemented
- Maintain ASL Policies, Procedures & SOPs
- Internal AEO Audits including Dip Checks, are being undertaken and actioned as per Customs requirements
- Due Diligence checks on new customers
- Ensure all Customers Authorisations are valid - transit guarantees
- Control Companys interface with Customs authorities
- Assist in implementing and control of new legislation issued from HMRC
- Assisting customers with their AEO/Application
- To manage Customs & Corporate Compliance across the business
- AEO Compliance
- Security Compliance
- Fire / Health &Safety Compliance

Knowledge & Skills Required
- Experience minimum 3 years as a Compliance manager in a Freight Forwarding Company
- Knowledge of Customs Clearance Function
- Knowledge of Export & Import Controls
- Highly motivated individual with an enthusiastic approach
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to work on a variety of different tasks in a team environment
- Attention to detail
- Possess excellent numeric & literacy skills
- Ability to relate to customers, employees and service providers at all levels
