Accountable for interfaces into third party suppliers who provide services and technology to Vodafone, Forming virtual teams to ensure problems are diagnosed, root cause understood and fixes provided, to all suppliers including Service Operations, BT, Cisco, VISPL and ALU. Responsible for providing feedback on performance to internal VF teams and suppliers
Drive and deliver a high performing team within the organisation and obtain targets for Employee Engagement,
Manage and resolve any issues escalated by the with 3rd parties and or other internal departments in Vodafone
Identify, own and manage Business Partner (BP) stakeholder relationships to drive BP owners’/managers’ personal engagement and alignment to Vodafone strategy
Demonstrate a full understanding of the BP’s short, medium and long-term business drivers, objectives and strategy and support the partner.
Achieve ‘trusted advisor’ status, forming strong relationship across the partners business in all functions and departments.
In this role the Customer Technical Architect will support a private sector customer and will be expected to hold a broad understanding of Vodafone’s product capability and processes associated with the delivery and in life assure phase of these products and also understand the Customers internal processes when changing or adopting to new technologies provided by Vodafone.
Within the role, the Customer Technical Architect will be required to engage with both cross functional teams across Vodafone UK and also the Customer organisation, ensuring the Customers outcomes that are part of the roadmap are achieved through this dialogue, in addition this role will when required be supported by Solution architects from within the Vodafone business, whom will support the sales function with presentations of new products and assist the Customer Technical Architect with knowledge sharing and understanding of Vodafone’s product portfolio.
In depth knowledge of WAN and LAN technologies to an architectural level
Create documentation of WAN & LAN Services
Broad knowledge of Voice services, including PBX voice solutions and IP telephony
Creation of architectural standards adhering to a technology and security based frameworks that deliver the outcomes the Customer expects from Vodafone UK
Ad-hoc assistance for technical support in fault incidents where their knowledge of the technologies will add value
Responsible for keeping up and enhancing vendor knowledge, particularly in relation to Cisco, Aerohive Wireless networking and Avaya\Extreme networks
Responsible for presenting the technical aspects of services to the client at peer level.
Ability to understand the customer business requirements and drivers and to be able to transform them into tangible technical requirements.
Technical Architect experience
Cisco switches & routers
CCIE qualification beneficial
LAN/WAN networking experience
Ability to Roadmap/provide strategic thinking / roll out best practice
Voice experience (IP/Telephony/Legacy) - beneficial
