Working in customer support is rarely a joy. As an experienced customer support team manager, you'll have probably been on the wrong end of an unpleasant customer call before now.

However, when the company offers a premium quality service and places the customer at the centre of their world, you find the customer support role becomes more about helping to solve a problem rather than being a verbal punchbag.

And that's the nature of this role with our client, who has an enviable position as a highly regarded holiday cottage rental company in the UK. They know that happy customers bring repeat business and recommendations, so they aim to excel in every aspect of their service.

However, while there are few complaints about the service, there are numerous customer problems to solve. They can range from a simple alteration to a booking through to a change of the customer's circumstance. Whatever the issue, our client's customer support agents deal with it efficiently and effectively.

And that's where you come in.

Your role as the Team Manager is to motivate, mentor, guide, and develop your team's skills through structured 121 meetings and live, in-call monitoring. As an experienced customer support professional, you'll be able to draw on your knowledge of premium-level service to build your team's skills and deliver the high level of service required.

Our client has featured in the Sunday Times' Best Companies to Work For list for the past two years and are keen to improve on their position. As such, they offer flexible working, operating from 9 am until 9 pm on a shift system, with managerial cover in place at the head office in Chester at all times. So, sometimes you and your team will work from home, but other times you'll be based from the office.
