Customer Support Co-ordinator

Our Client based just outside of Reading Town Centre are looking for an Customer Support Co-ordinator to join their friendly team. The core part of the role is to provide exceptional Customer Service, the role will entail resolving customer queries over the phone, co-ordinating engineer diaries and general administration support duties.

Key duties:

  • Provide customer support and resolve faults over phone with customers
  • Log machine breakdowns on to inhouse system and enter them into the engineers diary
  • Co-ordinate companies engineers effectively and efficiently
  • Call customers to arrange engineer breakdown and service visits
  • Process supplies orders received via e-mail from current and prospective customers
  • Process customer orders and provide quotes for all maintenance contracts
  • Meet departmental supplies and maintenance targets as set by Office Manager
  • Take incoming calls and distribute them accordingly
  • Enter data from the engineers call slips onto database
  • Send out post and spares to engineers, sales and customers
  • Deal with customer queries and problems effectively and efficiently
  • Handle one off tasks and projects that may arise in the busy customer support arena
  • Continually review and update contract database as required including adding new contracts to the database

Person specification

  • Full PC literacy on Microsoft software packages
  • Good Administration skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience of working within a customer liaising role
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Provide effective oral and written communication
  • Ability to problem solve and take ownership of calls
  • Good understanding of UK geography and distribution of major towns and cities
  • Positive and enthusiastic approach to work, hardworking, committed and prepared to be hands on
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • An interest in engineering and/or previous technical experience would advantageous but not essential.
