A new vacancy has arisen for a Customer Services Underwriter in Leeds. Duties and accountabilities will involve quoting, binding, renewing and taking payment for policies. Answering customer questions over the telephone and live chat. Making follow up calls to customers - including those that have received a quote but not yet purchased, online quote referrals and renewal chasers. Handling online quote referrals as required within underwriting authority (new business and renewal). Issuing renewal invitations. Handling administrative aspects of migrating customers from a legacy system to a new system.
The successful candidate will have experience in insurance or financial services (minimum of one year). Excellent telephone and communication skills. Strong numeracy and literacy skills. Strong customer service skills and attention to detail. An understanding of conduct risk and non-advised status. Will have undertaken telephone sales training (preferable but not essential).
