Applicants MUST HAVE: Previous customer service experience with some sales.
Our client is one of the leading suppliers of industrial control and automation products in the UK. They have a nationwide network of sales locations employing over 200 personnel in branches throughout the UK. They have gained a deserved reputation for the quality of both their products and their service.
The successful Internal Account Advisor will be required to:
*Deal with customer orders and inquiries checking prices, discounts and stock availability.
*To enter sales orders and to keep customers fully updated on progress of their orders
*Ensure that all sales and purchase orders are complete and accurate before entry onto the system
*To progress any outstanding customer orders on suppliers or via central purchasing.
*To also pro-actively call existing clients to obtain business. There is a financial incentive for this part of the job.
*Source and price non-stocked items to satisfy customer requirements
*Liaise with Sales Engineers, other departments and branches
*General Office Administration duties.
Our client is looking for strong Customer Service Adviser applicants with the following experience:
*Preferably, to have worked in a similar sales office environment.
*You will have talked with businesses in a sales or customer service capacity and you will preferably (although (non-essential) have dealt with technical products
*Demonstrate sufficient commercial awareness to negotiate prices.
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft office and data entry systems
*Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
*Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
*Good standard of general education particularly in English and Maths (at least GSCE's in Maths and English (or equivalent)
