The position of Customer Service Consultant at Endsleigh is a varied and interesting one, with no two days ever being quite the same. You’ll talk to new and existing customers over the phone, discussing their needs for motor, home or travel insurance; making changes to their existing policies, answering general customer queries and processing cancellations etc. Everyone’s circumstances and situations are different, and you’ll work hard to find the right insurance solution for each of them, as well upselling additional products that meet our customer’s needs. There is no cold calling involved - you’ll only talk to genuinely interested people.
Our office is based on the outskirts of Cheltenham, and offers free parking and bus stop directly outside the offices, so getting here is easy.
- Part time hours available with a minimum of 20 hours per week, flexible between Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm and on Sundays 10am to 4pm. Fixed or variable shift patterns available but must be flexible to work some weekend and evenings shifts.
- Full-time consultants work a five day, 37.5 hour week, on a shift pattern basis. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm and on Sundays 10am to 4pm. You’ll work various shifts across our opening hours.
- Enhanced pay rates for unsociable hours - with potential to earn an additonal £450 per quarter
We’re looking for enthusiastic, confident and articulate individuals who like talking to people. You don’t need any sales experience or knowledge, as we offer a comprehensive training scheme that will teach you everything you need to know. It’s not a hard sell role and there’s no cold calling, but you will be comfortable with the idea of working in a sales based environment and working towards structured targets. For those that exceed targets there is a bonus scheme in place.
You’ll need to be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, with at least 5 GCSE’s at A - C grade (or equivalent on the new grading system), this must include at least a C in both English and Maths.
With previous experience of working in a customer facing role you will be a great communicator, able to build strong and immediate relationships with customers and colleagues alike. You will be inquisitive and engaging, with the ability to chat to and get on with all sorts of people. You will be committed and reliable, prepared to be accountable and take responsibility. Finally, we have a fantastic, friendly and team-based culture in our Cheltenham office, so we need real team players who love working with others and enjoying the fun.

We will offer you a fantastic benefits package which includes a defined contribution pension scheme where Endsleigh will contribute 4% of your pensionable salary increasing to 8% at 5 years’ service, and rising again to 12% in year 10. You will start with 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 25 days after 2 years’ service.
