The role

Simply put you’ll be working with a well-known bank talking to customers on the phone, who have found themselves in financial difficulty through one way or another, building a relationship with that person, and helping them set up a repayment plan. To be successful in this role you’ll listen, be able to forge a relationship quickly with that person, and develop an understanding of each individual’s set of circumstances. Then, you’ll help them decide the best repayment solution possible, for both, customer and for the bank.

This role does need to have someone with a warm and friendly personality to be able to be empathetic to the other person on the other side of the phone.

Our client has seen success from people from a variety of backgrounds from those having worked directly in customer service to graduates to former teachers. As long as you can demonstrate experience of emotional intelligence and justify why you would be a strong candidate we want to hear from you.

This is a permanent full time position - you will be working an average of 35 hours per week, giving you a better work life balance. The collections team operate between 08:00 - 21:00 Monday to Friday, and 09:00 - 17:00 Saturdays, 10:00 - 15:00 Sundays, your shifts will be rotated between these hours.

What we’re looking for:

  • A friendly and warm personality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An individual who is computer literate and highly organised.
  • It would be desirable if you have gained customer service experience or customer facing experience from any environment but is not essential
  • This role would also be suitable for a graduate but is not essential.

What we can offer you:

With a total package of up to £19113 per annum. Alongside your salary, there is an annual bonus based on company and personal performance (up to 7% of salary) and £500 flexible benefits (which can be added to your basic salary).
