We are working with a globally recognised organisation who are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join their team in Manchester.

Joining this well-established company, you will be responsible for providing assistance to customers with regards to product queries, spare parts and product returns via telephone and email.

You will work Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00am – 5:00pm. My client can offer you a very competitive salary which will be dependent on level of experience. You will be entitled to the following benefits:

You will also be eligible for the company KPI scheme which can see you earn up to an additional £3,000 per annum (paid quarterly).

Responsibilities of Customer Service Advisor

  • Act a first point of contact for Customer Service team via telephone and email
  • Identify parts required by customers and process and provide quotations
  • Handle customer queries in an effective and efficient manner
  • Process orders and return requests on behalf of customers
  • Work closely with the Accounts Dept. in order to establish the account status of customers in relation to their purchase orders
  • Raise credits for customers where necessary
  • Manage customer back orders and update them regularly
  • Validate warranty claims
  • Ensure you are regularly updating the database with customer interaction
  • Organise collection of faulty product from customer to workshop
  • Build relationships with customers and regularly update them on status of order or repair

Previous Experience and Competencies of Customer Service Advisor

  • A background in Customer Service and/or Administration is highly desirable
  • Experience of dealing with parts (Wholesalers or Merchants) would be suitable but not essential
  • Competent user of IT equipment and Microsoft packages
  • Previous experience of SAP software
  • A self-motivated, adaptable and positive outlook
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively over phone and by email
  • Ability to multi-task and handle high pressure environments from time to time
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
