Birmingham City Council is one of Europe's leading local authorities and due to expansion they are recruiting Customer Service Advisors to join their Revenues and Benefits team. This exciting opportunity is based in the heart of Birmingham City Centre which offers excellent public transport links in and out of the city. Career progression is very important to the council which will allow a range of new opportunities for you to progress. This is a 6 month contract on a temporary basis with a possibility of extension of contract, dependant on performance.
Your new role
You will be working in the Revenues and Benefits Department and your responsibilities include delivering excellent standards of customer care and consistent high quality information and advice on all aspects of the Council's services. It is a call centre-based role, whereby you will be working in a high-volume environment taking inbound calls. You are to ensure a positive customer experience is a priority on each call, clear and concise responses to all customer enquiries/complaints are given
