Our client is a private welfare to work organisation, working hand in hand with the public sector to deliver a range of government and NHS contracts. Our client is based in 12 countries, with 200 locations worldwide across 4 different continents.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Services Advisor to join our  clients National Contact Centre in Yardley, Birmingham, on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract. Our client delivers many programmes but this particular role is to support the health programme (National Diabetes Prevention Programme).

Duties will include:
  • Making outbound calls to book participants in for group sessions with one of our clients health educators who are based in various locations over the country and usually within easy reach of participants homes.
  • Making 80 – 100 outbound calls per day to clients to provide participants a brief overview of the Healthier Your programme which contains 13 sessions over a 10 month period with the aim to self-manage their blood sugar levels to prevent them from getting type 2 diabetes.
  • To also flex between inbound and outbound calls answering generally queries, completing initial assessments and booking blood tests.
  • Updating our clients company database system to ensure all clinical notes are fully up to date, sessions are booked correctly and appropriate letters sent out to ensure our client is compliant.

    About you:

    You must have the following qualifications and experience:

    Previous Contact Centre/health care experience in a customer service/medical environment (is desired but not essential).

    Strong IT skills.

    Performance focused.

    Enjoys working to targets and deadlines.

    Exceptional timekeeping.

    Reliability.

    Strong telephone manner/skills including clear diction.

    Ability to handle conflict.

    Ability to follow processes.

    Ability to overcome objections.

    Accuracy in data entry.

    Someone who enjoys learning and has the ability to retain knowledge.

    Caring and positive attitude. 

    Motivated by helping others and making a difference to the lives of others.

    Flexible approach and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
