To provide internal commercial support to the field sales team to ensure customer expectations are met and service levels exceeded. Working as part of a focused and successful sales team, to exceed sales targets and KPIs set.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate the day to day management of customers, generate and convert sales leads
  • Identify and achieve profitable sales opportunities
  • Prepare quotations and tenders in line with customer deadlines
  • Receive inbound calls and build effective customer relationships to ensure excellent levels of customer service are provided at all times
  • Build strong customer relationships and address any issues
  • Actively manage any customer complaints
  • Working alongside the Field Sales Representatives, organising qualified appointments
  • Working closely with the field sales team to provide sales support and prospecting opportunities, including data gathering and follow ups
  • Attend sales meetings and participate in learning and training opportunities
  • Proactively follow up quotations
  • Assist in achieving sales targets
  • Negotiate and convert opportunities
  • Use IT systems effectively
  • Liaise with key stakeholders

Person Specification

  • Communication skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Customer focused
  • Ideally have manufacturing knowledge
  • A basic technical knowledge (ability to read basic engineering drawings) would be an advantage

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of Maths and English qualification (GCSE, Baccalaureate, US High School Diploma)

Preferred an engineering related qualification and a formal sales qualification

Experience

Must have IT skills; Word, Excel & Powerpoint

Must have experience working in a customer service/ sales background

Hours

Monday-Friday 37.5 hours

Salary

£17,000-£21,000 per annum
