Customer Relations Specialist

Permanent: £21-24k per annum

Full Time - Redhill

Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.15pm


Do you have the ability to turn a negative into a positive and thrive on the challenge of resolving customer’s complaints? If the answer to the above is "yes" and you have strong experience of FOS/FCA guidelines then we want to hear from you!

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To provide an exceptional service to escalated customer disputes and complaints
  • Ensure complex cases are resolved within compliance deadlines
  • Liaison with regulatory bodies and other teams in the business to agree resolutions
  • Adhere to the compliance deadlines, procedures and policies
  • Record and monitor all complaints and disputes
  • Maintain up to date product, system and process knowledge
  • Act as a contact of expertise to provide an effective service to customers
  • Identify opportunities to advance processes and products and systems
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work within all areas of the department to cover busy periods
  • Give on the job coaching to new colleagues and be the 'go to person’ for them


Essential requirements:

  • Experience within the financial services Industry in Customer Service essential
  • Strong understanding of FCA and FOS rules and regulations
  • Ability to cope with a very challenging role
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Handling large volumes of complaints in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis (RCA) of complaints and disputes
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise at all levels
  • 5 x GCSE’s A-C Level including Maths and English (or equivalent)
