Customer Lifecycle Manager

Job Description

Grade - C

Salary (Up to) - £30,000

Role Requirement

To provide insight led data & recommendations that power our commercial Marketing activity, whether it’s executed directly to customer or through the sales channels. The successful candidate will be responsible for scoping & delivering data requirements for the team enabling us to talk to customers (internal & external) in a timely & relevant manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation of data processes & workflows for triggered lifecycle campaigns

  • Work with internal & external suppliers on creating a ‘data engine’ that powers our decisions

  • Development & maintenance of the contact strategy including targeting & opportunity identification

  • Work with our 3rd party analytical provider to deliver a plan of insight & analytics

  • Support the delivery of key insight led projects across the Commercial Marketing Team

  • Provide measurement & recommendations to improve communication output effectiveness

  • Take a lead, working cross functionally to support the delivery of a new CRM and data solution

Candidate Attributes

  • Ability to interpret data and understand analytical outputs

  • Ability to drive a data & insight agenda, ensuring data is the base decisions are made from

  • Creative with ideas and problem solving

  • Strong commercial acumen

  • High output of work with fantastic attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal, written and numerical skills

Key Performance Indicators

  • Deliver an incremental improvement in customer retention

  • Improvement in campaign uptakes driven by increased data relevancy

  • Drive margin through development of automated customer journeys

  • Improved customer engagement due to timely & relevant communications

  • Development & execution of an ‘always on’ contact strategy

Technical Skills/Requirements:


  • Experience using ESPs, to schedule, launch and analyse campaigns

  • Experience using CRM systems or databases to track customer movement

  • Experience in planning customer journeys across a range of scenarios and engagements

  • Experience delivering customer lifecycle initiatives

  • Experience driving a data & insight agenda

  • A minimum of 3 years marketing experience, preferably in a B2B environment


  • Experience using automated campaign software

  • Exposure to data modelling and analytical techniques

  • Marketing degree or equivalent marketing certification

  • Experience in food/grocery industry (non-essential)
