Customer Experience Manager - 5 House Builder

A candidate experienced in new build property development as well as management of other staff will be the ideal in this position.

Excellent communication and a diplomatic approach to customers will be key in this role. Candidates will be working autonomously and will need to build strong relationships with delivery teams on site.

Client Details

Michael Page is the main supplier for this client, who is a 5* House Builder working nationally.

The client has several offices across London and South East of England but this role will be remotely located on site.

They have several sites currently active where they could see candidates being placed and there is an element of flexibility with where candidates can choose to go.

This client has performed consistently over previous years and now wants to make sure the customer service function is at a similar level of quality to the overall end product.


Customer Experience Manager - 5* House Builder

The key requirements for this position:

  • Liaising with customers on a day to day basis
  • Ensure regular communications are sent to customers between exchange of contracts and completion
  • Attend any meetings on site with site delivery teams and / or customers
  • Arranging pre-occupation appointment with customers, making sure any agreed works are completed thereafter
  • Ensure properties are fully inspected in line with client inspection and handover process
  • Complete formal handover documents
  • Liaise with construction / site manager to ensure that customer issues are fully closed out to their satisfaction within 7 days of notification of issue
  • Develop and maintain a positive interaction with construction and delivery teams
  • Working closely with sales colleagues, updating on customer issues both pre and post completion
  • Conduct warranty inspections on plots to minimise future defects reported
  • Be the first point of contact for clients on a day to day basis


Customer Experience Manager - 5* House Builder

This role could suit candidates from a mix of backgrounds but primarily any experience working in a property based role within a residential developer will be preferred.

The client has stated a high importance on the personality strengths of each candidate and feel that candidates in this role will need to have excellent levels of communication and ability to diplomatically approach customers and contractors to get the job done.

Working alongside the delivery teams on site will be tough at times and the right candidate for this role will need to be resilient as well as have a straightforward approach.

You will need to be:

  • Able to work in stressful and sometimes pressured situations
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Have management experience looking after more junior team members
