We have exciting opportunities within our Contact Centre in Bradford (BD5) for Contact Centre Representatives who want to deliver the best service to our customers. We’re on the lookout for team players who are self-motivated, personal and passionate, and want to be a part of a team and business who take pride in providing real help to real people.

What you'll be doing:

The Yorkshire Building Society Group is one of the largest building societies in the U.K and at the heart of everything we do are our customers. We are looking to add to our talented Customer Contact Centre teams in order to ensure an exceptional customer experience is delivered on every call.

You’ll answer customer queries and provide our customers with relevant information on our products and services; always making sure that the customer and their best interests are at the heart of what you do.

In this rewarding role you will be afforded a real opportunity to progress your skills, your career and will be suitably rewarded as you grow in your role.
To give you the best possible start you’ll spend your first 5 weeks in our training academy, giving you the skills and knowledge you’ll need to be able to help our clients. It’s essential that you’re available to attend these first 5 weeks in full. Once out of training you’ll work 35 hours per week on a flexible shift pattern between the hours below:

Monday to Friday: 8am to 8pm
Saturday (1 in 3): 9am - 1pm

Please note the start date for this induction will be Monday 11th June 2018.

The Knowledge & Skills you’ll have:

You’ll have a proven track record in delivering a fantastic Customer experience and have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience of working in a contact centre is ideal however if you have had customer service experience where queries have been dealt with using multiple channels including over the telephone then we’d love to hear from you.

Full training is provided so we’re not looking for specific qualifications, it’s more important that you have the right attitude and are keen to learn. That said there are a few attributes we’d like you to demonstrate:

  • Good listening skills and the ability to build rapport with customers of all backgrounds
  • Excellent communication skills ; you’ll be able to build strong relationships with all our customers and with other colleagues across the society
  • An understanding of and passion for good customer service
  • An ability to work with limited supervision - you’ll need to be a self-starter
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong administration and PC skills
  • GCSE Maths & English or equivalent
  • Financial Services industry knowledge (desirable, but not essential as training will be provided)
