Customer Category Manager – 9 to 12 month fixed term contract
Salary up to €50,000 depending on experience + Potential Bonus + Excellent Benefits
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Customer Category Manager to join our team based at our Dublin offices in Ireland. This opportunity will be to cover a maternity leave on a 9 to 12 month fixed term contract basis and will report into our Category Lead for our Beverage Business Unit (BU) in Ireland. As part of the Ireland Nestlé Beverages team, you will be working with some of the world’s best-known and most-loved brands, many of which have been enjoyed for generations. Our Nescafé brand is the biggest coffee brand in the world and providing great quality coffee which tastes perfect and is ethically sourced is always at the top of our agenda.
What can you expect?
Ultimately you will work as a trusted customer category expert both internally and externally to provide actionable recommendations to drive Nestlé and our customers’ growth. Driving sales and profit across our Beverage category throughout Ireland by developing and implementing a best in class category strategy for our customers.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
Build external customer networks and relationships to drive Nestlé credibility with our customers.
Execute the Nestlé Point of Purchase strategy across our customers ensuring it is delivering on expectations.
Lead, manage and evaluate customer range reviews.
Present insightful market share updates including analysis on shopper KPIs for key meetings within the monthly and quarterly business cycle
Provide insightful analysis, using our key data sources, for our annual Integrated Commercial Planning and Market Strategy Planning shaping recommendations on market share projection over the course of our short and long term plan
Deliver internal KPIs on distribution and share of space to feed into the monthly business process.
Lead the customer category input into the commercial planning process.
Provide insight for our field teams to support in store execution strategies and targets being achieved.
Track, evaluation and create recommendations to optimise promotional effectiveness in our customers.
Support the sales team with key customer insight to help influence externally.
Work closely with our UK Beverage team ensuring alignment is always achieved across everything we do.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you will already have some great category management experience ideally within the FMCG or retail sector. You will have an excellent eye for detail and understand how your decisions affect the wider business strategy. You will have great communication skills that enable you to influence across all levels whilst being able to develop positive relationships internally and externally. You will also:
Have exceptional customer interaction skills.
Be proficient in Spaceman, Nielsen Answers, Dunnhumby, and Kantar World Panel Online.
Be able to act as a true insight partner with our customers
It is essential that this role works collaboratively with our UK Beverage team so there will be some travel to the UK, specifically our Beverage head office based in Gatwick near London on a regular basis.
