Customer Business Manager – Grocery (Part Time)

York (Flexible Working)

22 hours per week – up to £30,000 depending on experience + company car + bonus potential + excellent benefits

We have an exciting and challenging role within our Confectionery Sales Team here in York. 

We’re looking for an experienced Customer Business Manager to manage a category within one of our Grocery accounts. This is a part time role working 22 hours per week.  Ideally this would be split across 3 days but we’re very flexible on this. 

What can you expect?

Working as part of our Sales team, we have an exciting and challenging Customer Business Manager position available where you will be responsible for the development, management and execution of categories within one of our Grocer customers in the UK.

The role has a high level of autonomy and is a great lead into more senior positions. Responsibilities will include:

  • Full management and accountability of the customer P&L, including Revenue, Spend, Market Share and Profit targets

  • Identifying opportunities and recommending actions to develop the confectionery category and Nestlé confectionery business with the Customer.

  • Creating strategic joint business plans with the customer to secure maximum distribution and growth. Alongside Category and Activation team's, ensure all NPD successfully launched into customers

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for Account Managers who really understand the FMCG landscape, and we particularly want to hear from you if you’re already using your outstanding skills as an Account Manager in your current role with a Top 4 Grocer Account

  • A high performer with experience of managing a Grocery account at head office level.

  • The ability to evidence your successful impact on commercial performance.

  • Proven track record of sustained strong performance, and show how you have adapted to changing priorities in that time.

  • Enjoy a challenge, and have an ambitious, positive “can do” attitude.

  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness and excellent numeracy skills

  • Experience of managing significant amounts of trade spend budget/P&L  is critical

  • Customer Marketing and Category Management experience would be beneficial

Finally, you’ll be used to a high level of autonomy and to networking to achieve results.
