Our client based in Beckenham are looking to recruit a Customer Associate to join their expanding team.

Job role:

  • Supporting Executives in providing day-to-day expert advice to clients and/or corporate advisors/lawyers in connection with a wide portfolio of corporate action events including, but not limited to, Takeovers, Tenders, open Offers, Rights Issues and IPOs
  • Help develop and maintaining relationship with clients and their advisors, assisting in communicating desires of clients to operational teams and to ensure understanding of the clients’ challenges and goals
  • Supporting the expansion and implementation of new initiatives and services to meet future needs of clients
  • Supporting Executives in day-to-day duties
  • Handling enquiries from clients, advisors and other business contacts
  • Drafting corporate action agreements
  • Initiating the proofing and printing of corporate action documents
  • Identifying bank accounts to be opened
  • Implementing new initiatives
  • Understanding and adopting Link "Treat Customers Fairly" policy
  • Supporting Executives in attending client/advisor project meetings
  • Participating in project conference calls
  • Reviewing a variety of corporate action documents
  • Drafting and overseeing preparation and mailing of shareholder invitation or result documents
  • Communicating event parameters to key business areas
  • Overseeing the issue of client invoices
  • Updating Euroclear UK & Ireland (operator of CREST) in a timely manner on corporate actions
  • Suggesting possible improvements to services provided
  • Ensuring management information records are maintained
  • Supporting client feedback surveys
  • Supporting the corporate actions risk review process.

Skills needed:

  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Good computing skills, including competent in the use of Word and Excel

  • Knowledge of different corporate actions
