The Society’s branch network represents Newcastle Building Society on the high streets of our Heartland, the North East of England. The main purpose of our branches is the provision of reputable savings and mortgage accounts. This is underpinned by solid financial advice for those who live in and around our branch locations across the North East of England, Cumbria and the Scottish borders. We commit to this whilst providing excellent customer service.

A priority for the branch network is maintaining great relationships with both existing and potential customers through consistent customer engagement. We pride ourselves on being a dependable source, here to help our customers understand and address their ever-changing financial needs.

We aim to be a central point in the localities in which we are based, providing support to charities, schools, and other community causes.

Role Summary

This is a part-time position, 21 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9am - 5pm, (plus Saturdays 8.45 to 12pm on a rota basis)

Our Customer Advisers consistently adopt a proactive and positive approach with our customers. They understand how best to help customers by applying the branch Understanding Needs process. This entails suggesting options customers may consider and identifying leads for the relevant advice specialists.

Our Customer Advisers are responsible for till operation, cash management, branch administration, servicing, balancing, and cash replenishment. They also complete all administration in relation to customer enquiries, leads and sales, through utilisation of the Society's Customer Management systems.

Your strong communication skills will ensure that all of our customers experience the high levels of customer satisfaction they they have come to expect from us, this in turn leads to customer advocacy for use of our products and services.
