Customer Account Executive

Main Purpose of the role:
The main purpose of the role is to act as the first point of contact for a customer wishing to place an order. Therefore you will be expected to hold a professional telephone manor and be apt at the selling of products. You will work to an agreed call sheet and will work closely with your sales representative to ensure that customers receive the highest standard of customer service. This position is for a 5 day week; and you will be expected to be flexible and hours of work may change due to business need.
Main responsibilities of the role:
To answer all incoming calls to the Department within 5 rings
To inform and advise all customers of any new stock items and any promotional offers along with up selling products
To behave in a professional and courteous manner to all customers and other members of staff
To ensure that the call list you are given is completed on time and all orders are logged and processed
To clear all messages from the answer machine before 10am each morning
To check all stock boards before starting your call sheet
To ensure all calls are made at the correct time and keep a record of all calls which are made, the time they are made and the response you receive
To ensure all note screens are kept tidy
To work closely with distribution to ensure deliveries are made on time
To work closely with your sales representative to ensure that they are kept up to date on any changes to customer details as well as any issues arising
Complete administration tasks as directed by your sales representative and line manager
Complete all credit and collection forms correctly by basing it on previous invoices
Resolve any customer and representative queries and technical services within an agreed reasonable timescale
When necessary amending contact details of customers
Close liaison with stock control to identify and up sell short dated stock
Build and maintain a close working relationship with the staff in distribution
Build and maintain close working relationships with suppliers and customers
Be a source of expertise to be utilised by the company
A strong and continuous focus on business development
Building and maintaining excellent customer relationships

Person specification:
Excellent computer skills, including all programmes within the Microsoft package, preferably advanced Excel
A strong and assertive style to selling
Experience of working within a sales environment is ideal
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to plan workloads in order to ensure both internal and external demands are met
The ability to be both proactive and reactive when responding to matters arising at work
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
A professional and polite manner when dealing with customers and staff
Ability to plan workload in order to meet internal and external demands
