Medteam Need HCPs for Custody suites in Lancashire and Surrounding areas.

Under the Lancashire contract, we cover the following suites; Preston, Blackburn and Blackpool. We're looking for around 5 RGNs, RMNs and Paramedics to join us on a bank basis and to help pick up shift to cover rota gaps. Although staff live closer to maybe one of the suites, we would like our bank staff to be flexible in travelling to all the stations to train and pick up shifts.

As a Health Care Professional, you will be joining our national team of clinicians who we provide to the criminal justice system throughout the UK. We support police forces nationally supplying Nurses and Paramedics into Permanent Roles and for ad hoc shifts, holiday cover, sickness. The shifts are 12 hours.

Our experienced Clinicians are on hand 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to ensure that our clients patients are assessed, and to address their health needs, as well as conducting forensic medical examinations gathering evidence for use in the criminal justice system.

Contracted positions available at Blackpool.

This advertisement is specifically for bank HCPs (Health Care Professionals). We rely on our team of bank staff to pick up rota gaps where contracted staff are off sick, have booked annual leave or for temporary rota vacancies.

Shift times are 0700-1900 and 1900-0700. We like all bank staff to be flexible in covering day shifts and night shifts.

The main custody suites are located in Preston, Blackpool and Blackburn. Then sub-suites are located in Lancaster, Burnley and Skelmersdale. Once employed, staff are covering under company insurance to drive company vehicles.


£15.38 - £23 per hour. With choice of being paid via PAYE or via LTD company.

The role includes:

Treating and assessing detainees. Assessing of a detainees mental health Forensic sampling. Substance Misuse assessments

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications


We are looking for the following qualities and skills:

Registered Nurse or Paramedic with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying service Full membership of the either NMC or HCPC 3 years residency in the UK A Right to Work in the UK A full UK driving licence

3 years experience preferred
