You will be based within the Powertrain Engineering department of our clients' business. The Powertrain Systems Engineering team is based at Whitley and is part of the Powertrain Systems Engineering group within Powertrain Engineering. The primary purpose of the group is to work closely with Power Train Quality department, to identify areas of high warranty, high customer dissatisfaction and high AA callout
The main focus of the role is to identify the root cause of quality concerns within the department.
You'll assist and contribute to the generation of targets and verification methods that are driven by customer and function requirements, as well as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis. On top of that, you will contribute to the delivery of resolutions onto all programmes, providing technical support across the operational team on topics relating to the warranty levels of components.
Finally, working with Technical Specialists and Research Engineering, you'll contribute to the development of attribute and function forward strategies, based on known warranty issues and prevent recurrence.
You will Need:
Knowledge of 8D and/or 6 sigma quality tools
Self motivation and the ability to adapt to changing demands
Good understanding of the design and development process
Ability to manage projects
