CRM & Direct Marketing Manager (Travel industry)

My client is a world leading travel and tourism company who currently have a fantastic opportunity for a CRM and Direct Marketing Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to bring their data segmentation skills and customer behaviour knowledge to develop insight and data driven activity.

Main Duties:

  • Build on current CRM activity by developing and executing an end to end CRM strategy to drive acquisition, retention and loyalty in order to generate maximum revenue for our member’s businesses
  • Have an excellent under understanding of CRM principles in a B2B and B2C environment, ideally within the travel and tourism industry
  • Manage the direct marketing budget
  • Improve and implement tone of voice and brand guidelines consistently through all communications
  • Use customer insights, analysis and customer segmentation to evolve CRM marketing strategies and increase marketing ROI
  • Consider a customer centric view to be the focus of delivering a success CRM strategy
  • Monitor budget spend and commitments and report on variances
  • Work with the marketing team on other projects as and when required, using your extensive experience to help shape other key marketing strategies
  • Track, monitor and report, using Google Analytics and other tools on digital activity
  • Effectively prioritise your work load to deliver the multiple projects you could be working on at any one time
  • Provide full support to the Head of Marketing and act as senior member of the team at all times

Key skills and experience needed for this role:

  • CRM and logical systems
  • Campaign planning to support commercial objectives
  • Using data segmentation, profiling and customer journey mapping to identify and target key audience groups
  • Using a full mix of marketing activities
  • Working with travel trade suppliers and tourist boards
  • Budget management
  • Managing multiple projects at any one
  • Time management and delivering on deadlines
  • Delivering effective Direct Mail and Email Marketing campaigns
  • Managing agencies
  • Managing internal stakeholders to deliver new initiatives
  • Developing and implementing content marketing strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 2 years + management experience in a direct marketing or CRM environment (ideally in the travel industry)
  • Educated to degree level
  • Have a professional marketing qualification (desirable)
  • Well-versed in CRM marketing best practices and up-to-date with the latest trends
  • Analytical, data-driven mind-set with proven ability to cater / tailor for different audiences and occasions
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Experience in developing customer communications across a variety of channels
  • Knowledge of Google Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics, and SEO tools such as Moz, SEMrush, Majestic, among others
