Our client is an extremely successful multichannel retailer enjoying a sustained period of fantastic growth.

They are in the process of building a best in class ecommerce function at the forefront of innovation and require a talented, self-starting and forward thinking CRM & Email Marketing Executive to join this growing and dynamic team

Based in Greater Manchester and reporting to the Head of CRM and Email Marketing, this key role provides an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious, energetic and creative individual to really make their mark and develop their skills to an advanced level by working closely with different teams across the business to design, build, execute and analyse first class campaigns that adhere to best practice. You will also help to deliver and develop customer journeys to drive long term sales, loyalty and referrals.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in a successful email & CRM function, proven HTML/CSS skills and hands-on experience using enterprise ESP solutions for campaign execution and reporting. Good copywriting and proofreading skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Head of CRM & Email Marketing to manage the end-to-end production process for email across a variety of campaigns.

  • Coordinating with the Marketing and Merchandising teams to ensure all communications are on-brand, accurate, relevant and timely.

  • Writing copy for email, landing pages and offline literature.

  • Working with the Head of CRM & Email Marketing to design, build, develop, test, and maintain all email communications.

  • Develop segmentation strategies to ensure campaigns are suitably targeted to maximise email open rates and conversion.

  • Develop and implement email and CRM strategies to push boundaries and exceed KPIs and objectives.

  • Produce weekly and monthly performance reports and identify areas that need improvement.

  • Adoption and development of a test and learn strategy to optimise email marketing/CRM effectiveness.

  • Work with various teams to create highly personalised, automated lifecycle marketing campaigns.

  • Be a champion for all email and CRM activities

  • Actively keep up to date with the email and CRM community, dealing with industry news and updates accordingly.

    Skills and Attributes

  • A degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Design or similar subject is desirable.

  • At least 2 years’ experience within an email or CRM role essential, agency or client side, ideally for a retail ecommerce business.

  • Experience using an email service provider, e.g. dotmailer, Mail Chimp, Campaign Monitor, Exact Target.

  • Strong design, copywriting and proofreading skills

  • A creative but logical thinker with high accuracy and attention to detail. Always looking for ways to improve and striving to create innovative, personable campaigns.

  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and other analytics tools.

  • Comfortable manipulating data.

  • Experience of all the latest email best practice guidelines.

  • Commercially focused and results driven.

  • Must be competent using HTML and CSS for email design and development, particularly for mobile.

  • A confident, self-starter with strong communication skills when dealing with colleagues at all levels.

  • Desire to develop advanced knowledge of email and CRM, a creative flair and genuine passion for all things digital marketing and ecommerce.
