Our client, a market leader with savings and mortgages, have an exciting opportunity for a Group Credit Risk Strategy and Assurance Analyst. The key purpose of this role is to support the Group Head of Credit Strategy and Assurance with the ongoing development of lending and collections strategy.
Main duties will include: -
·Review the Group Credit Risk Appetite limits with support from the Bank’s Risk Function
·Work closely with the product development team on new criteria innovation
·Maintain the Group Arrears, Repossession and Forbearance policies (ARFP)
·Maintain the Bank’s Interest Only strategies and monitor related MI
·Maintain the Bank’s Vulnerable Customer and Suicide Awareness policy and monitor related MI
·Monitor the application of the Bank’s underwriting and collections related mandates
·Work closely with the Underwriting and Servicing Diligence Manager with the compilation and delivery against a quarterly underwriting assurance review; Ensure all identified issues are managed through effectively with the Group Head of Underwriting
·Monitor the effective review of all accounts entering 3 or months arrears with core trends reflected in the design of lending policy
·Monitor the application of end to end collections reviews within the Bank
·Monitor credit/collections actions arising from internal, third party administrator and subsidiary governance meetings
·Support the ongoing development and assessment of mandated underwriters within the business
·Participate in any ad hoc or strategic project work as and when required
·Maintain the company’s compliance standards and own compliance training
·Maintain the company’s compliance standards and ensure timely completion of all mandatory on-line training modules and attestations
The successful candidate will have previous experience in either a credit, underwriting, risk or audit function.
If you have previous experience undertaking underwriting audits/review this would be highly desirable.
