Your part in our journey

As a key analytical member of the Credit Management department, you will be instrumental in building, testing and implementing risk scorecards on new products and services. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with Shell Energy credit risk solution, provided by an industry leading credit bureau. Your main responsibilities will include building scorecards, by scoping internal stakeholder requirements and demonstrating the performance results, in order to determine the correct level of risk the business should take on varying products/services. As Shell Energy expands its offerings, the business will need to ensure it has the correct balance between risk and profitability. This is an exciting role, within a fast paced environment, reporting into the Risk & Collections Optimisation Manager. If you have experience in scorecard development, risk modelling, or equivalent - we’d like to hear from you.

Your part in the team

  • Scoping requirements from stakeholders, in order to develop scorecard/acceptance criteria

  • Using SQL and other relevant program software to build & maintain risk scorecards

  • Complete champion challenge testing of new scenarios to arrive at the most beneficial outcome

  • Specifying, implementing and maintaining databases to support departmental performance views.

  • Creating and maintaining reporting accurately for key agreed KPI’s

  • Ability to present findings and conclude results to stakeholders at all levels

  • Achieve individual and team targets to ensure key performance indicators are met

What you'll need to make the most of the role

  • Proven experience using SQL.

  • Experience in a Credit Risk environment

  • Familiarity with writing SQL scripts to return data desired

  • Strong communication skills and ability to present findings/results

  • Willingness to learn

  • Creativity and attention to detail, for reporting design

  • Analytical skills to assess and resolve issues

  • Resilience to work to deadlines and under pressure

  • Initiative and tenacity to deliver results

  • Strong Customer Service ethos

  • Demonstrate good organisation and time management skills

  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised

  • Desire to take ownership of issues and 'go the extra mile’

  • Experienced use of Microsoft Excel

The ' Nice to Haves '

  • Previous utility experience

  • Willing to share knowledge and have collaborative approach

  • Utilizing functions within Excel/Google to enable the creation of working dashboards
